The Journal of The Mount Sinai Hospital was established in 1934 to share with the broader medical community the knowledge that was presented at the hospital in lectures and post-graduate courses, as well as to convey the results of research done by Mount Sinai physicians. In 1970, the name of the Journal was changed to the Mount Sinai Journal of Medicine to reflect the evolution of the institution into an academic medical center with the opening of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in 1968. In 2007, it was renamed the Mount Sinai Journal of Medicine: A Journal of Translational and Personalized Medicine.This journal ceased in 2012.
